DANCE TEACHER
As a Dance teacher, my main role was to help my students develop the necessary skills and competencies to become active and productive members of society. To do so, I always needed to be a facilitator of learning, motivating and stimulating my students' interest in Dance.
As a teacher, I planned and prepared my classes in advance, selecting and organizing the content in a clear and accessible way. I also regularly evaluated my students' progress, offering constructive feedback and adapting my teaching approach as needed.
Furthermore, I showed my students that the body is the main instrument of Dance. Through it, we also express ourselves and establish our place in society, perceive others, understand limits, learn how to communicate, respect ourselves, and develop perseverance in all aspects of life. In my classes, I proved that every victory is achieved after much dedication and perseverance.
Another fundamental responsibility of my role as a teacher was to create a safe and respectful classroom environment, ensuring that all students were treated equally and justly. This meant being sensitive to individual needs and differences, respecting diversity, and encouraging dialogue and collaboration.
In my routine, I had the responsibility to stay up-to-date and informed about the latest educational trends and practices, constantly seeking new ways to improve my work and offer my students the best education possible.
In summary, being a teacher is a complex and challenging task, but also extremely rewarding. It is a profession that requires dedication, commitment, and passion for teaching and learning. And, above all, it is a unique opportunity to help shape and transform lives through the power of education.

Feb 2011 to Dec 2012
Department of Arts
As an art teacher at AME - Mineira Action for Education, I had the opportunity to contribute to the social inclusion project called "Todos por Todos Aprendendo Além da Escola" (All for All Learning Beyond School). My role was to provide a comprehensive education in Theatre and Dance for approximately 100 underprivileged children per year.
It was my responsibility to develop and deliver theatre classes that were accessible and inclusive for a diverse group of students, including those with physical, intellectual, and/or emotional disabilities. I created a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment that allowed students to express themselves freely and feel included and valued. I worked with students to develop acting skills, improvisation, character creation, teamwork, and other theatre skills that certainly contributed to social inclusion and the formation of creative, critical, and socially aware individuals.
One of my most important projects culminated in a grand opera performance, with the presence of the State Orchestra of Minas Gerais, presented in one of the largest theaters in the capital: the Sesi Minas. Such a project happened in collaboration with other teachers and staff from the NGO who also aimed to promote social inclusion and equal opportunities for all students.
I am certain that my skills and creativity were essential to the success of the "Todos por Todos Aprendendo Além da Escola" project, approved by UNESCO and supported by "Criança Esperança" from Rede Globo.
